It’s no coincidence that the harp is said to be the instrument of angels. We are in heaven when soloist Erik Groenestein-Hendriks of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra performs some of the most important harp compositions in existence, on six different harps.

Musicians of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra accompany Groenestein-Hendriks as he lets the harp’s clear yet shimmering song come alive, playing everything from Händel’s baroque and Mozart’s classicism to impressionist work by Debussy and Ravel. We’re also treated to three rare gems: Henriette Renié’s sophisticated ‘Contemplation’ and Chanson dans la nuit and Seguidilla ur Suite of 8 dances by Carlos Salzedo.
