The 2020-2021 season is not like any other season. Unfortunately, it will be difficult for us to carry out this year’s edition of the Sports Holiday Orchestra, but we are currently looking at another good solution that works even in these times. We will return after New Year with a plan for you who want to play together on the sports holiday, after all. We long for you!

During Week 7 every year the Sports Holiday Orchestra is formed and consists of young people aged 14-19. The highlight of the week is the finishing concert in the fantastic acoustic of the Gothenburg Concert Hall.
Musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra coach the young musicians during the rehearsals together with the conductor Thord Svedlund. For many, the Sports Holiday Orchestra is the first experience of playing in a symphony orchestra. Many then choose to come back year after year.
