Event has already taken place. Gothenburg Symphony, Santtu-Matias Rouvali conductor, Patricia Kopatchinskaja violin, Måns Pär Fogelberg presenter
The Russian violinist Patricia Kopatchinskaja has enchanted the international critics: “No other violinist could reproduce the music so vigorously, with the strength of a blazing runaway, bordering on a madman’s infertility … it’s higher excitement than in a nuclear power plant at Seine.” (Norman Lebrecht)
Patricia Kopatchinskaja is a marvelous artist who plays both in long dress with leading orchestras and barefoot on the stage at chamber concerts. Her varied repertoire ranges from baroque and classical, often played on natural strings, to new orders and new interpretations of modern masterpieces. She made her first concert with the Symphonics in spring 2017 and returns now to play the Sibelius violin concert.
The concert begins with a true compassionate piece: Ouvertyr to Ruslan and Ludmila by Michail Glinka, “The Father of Russian Music,” who can compete with Rossini for energy and melody pleasure.
The doors open at 17.30. Welcome to reserve a table in our restaurant (from 17.00) or enjoy a shrimp toast in the Götaplatsfoyer. Why not have a glass of wine from our well sorted winebar?
