Göteborgs Konserthus Side by Side 2025: Choirs in Concert

Choir lovers’ favorite concert Choirs in Concert brings together all choir participants from the international music camp Side by Side in a choir concert with over 300 young singers on stage!

Welcome to a tasty and varied lunch concert with choral singing in all its forms! At Side by Side’s big choral concert, over 300 young choral singers perform, together with members from Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. The concert is being held in Stora Salen at the Concert Hall and concludes the camp for the majority of Side by Side’s choir participants.

There will be languidly beautiful a cappella tones when the youth choir performs Arnesen’s Even When He Is Silent and Lindgren’s popular Pingst (Pentecost), while the camp’s large children’s choirs offer everything from pop to musicals. The program includes, among other things, the childhood favorite Visa vid lägerelden (Ronja’s Campfire Song) from Ronja the Robber’s Daughter, and a favorite from the 2018 camp: Zara Larsson’s Symphony.

Choirs in Concert is led by Birgitta Mannerström Molin and Ida Rosén Hamrå.

The international music camp Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and open to participants 6-23 years old. Side by Side creates meeting places where children and young people from different cultures and backgrounds can sing and play together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music and works for tolerance, cooperation, and equality.
