The international music camp Side by Side by El Sistema offers a grand repertoire for string orchestra, wind orchestra and symphony orchestra. All during one and the same concert.
Welcome to a concert experience beyond the ordinary! Wind and string orchestra is a string orchestra, a wind orchestra, and a symphony orchestra, all in one! Here you can enjoy a mix of classic pieces and modern film and game music. The concert also offers a premiere of The Adventurous Kid by Martin Salomonsson. Conducted by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra’s own Marjolein Vermeeren.

Wind & String in Concert is followed by Early & Folk in Concert out in Götaplatsfoajén and your ticket is valid for both concerts.

Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is an important part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration. For a few splendid June days every year, young people from around the world gather to sing and play orchestral music together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music while counteracting segregation in all its forms and building bridges between people, cultures, and continents.
