Choirs in Concert gathers most of the choir singers from the international music camp Side by Side by El Sistema in a large choir concert. The repertoire includes everything from Bach to Laleh.

Welcome to a wonderful lunch concert with choir singing in all its forms! At Side by Side’s large choir concert, more than 250 choir singers from CHILDREN’S, PRE-UPPER VOICES and UPPER VOICES will perform together with the Gothenburg Symphony Vocal Ensemble. The concert is held in the Stora Salen at the Concert Hall and marks the conclusion of the camp for most of Side by Side’s choir tracks.

There will be choir music from near and far, both famous choir classics and pop as well as completely newly written choir songs! Led by Birgitta Mannerström Molin, Yvonne Carlsson and Christina Wide.

Choirs in Concert is followed by Open Choir in Concert out in Götaplatsfoajén and your ticket is valid for both concerts.

Side by Side is organized by Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra and is an important part of Gothenburg’s 400th anniversary celebration. For a few splendid June days every year, young people from around the world gather to sing and play orchestral music together, side by side with professional musicians. The camp promotes classical music while counteracting segregation in all its forms and building bridges between people, cultures, and continents.
