This Nordic supergroup has four of the biggest names on the international jazz scene – and together, they are Portable Infinity. They move effortlessly between laid-back blues and swinging rhythms. Their sound is free and composed, modern but rooted, with music that always tells a story.

Leading the band is Danish saxophone player Benjamin Koppel. He has taken inspiration from jazz and classical music alike, melting these influences together into his own carefully crafted style. You will hear echoes of Cannonball Adderley, Bernstein and Stravinsky. That is a feature that the fantastic pianist Jacob Karlzon, known from his own trio and a collaboration with singer Victoria Tolstoy, casually picks up, cultivates and takes even further.

Drummer Magnus Öström was in one of the most successful ensembles in modern jazz: the trio E.S.T. Now he is a cornerstone of the Swedish-Norwegian trio Rymden, and of his own quartet. Here, he adds his unique and versatile style.
