The Pioneer concept treats you to contemporary music lovingly combined with other art forms. KammarensembleN taking to the stage always heralds novelty and surprise. This ensemble from Stockholm, which unites some of the country’s most skilled musicians, has been treating audiences to cutting-edge work for over 35 years.

Today is the first time they will be performing in the Stenhammarsalen, believe it or not! Seize the opportunity to listen to contemporary music in all its glory, from Charles Uzor’s sensual Qualia – how is a scent, a sound, experienced? – to Karin Rehnqvist’s folk-inspired composition for string quartet and harp.

The evening also includes a panel discussion on philosophy, perception and deep listening with composer Charles Uzor and Ivo Nilsson, trombonist in KammarensembleN and composer. Moderator: Camilla Larsson, cultural journalist. The discussion is in english.
