Negar Zarassi is a Gothenburg-based soprano with a bachelor’s degree in music from both the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and the University of Stage and Music in Gothenburg. She is frequently hired for concerts and various music and theater productions throughout Sweden and is not completely unknown to the Gothenburg audience as she has performed at countless concerts and events over the years. Through Persia’s got Talent 2019, she had a great global impact on the Persian population and has since developed her own crossover genre with opera and pop in Persian. With a wide and varied repertoire, this “Persian Sarah Brightman” has touched millions of people with her beautiful voice. This evening her first album will be released and during the concert you will hear her perform everything from classical opera arias such as “Casta Diva” and “O mio babbino caro” to Persian folk songs and musicals, all under the direction of the renowned composer and pianist Shapor Bastansiar, who also arranged the songs for string ensemble, this evening consisting of the Wulfson Quartet.
