Experience the magical world of Oriental dance at this year’s edition of Lucia Oriental 2024, where tradition meets modernity in a captivating dance show. Our professional dancers will take you on a journey through the rhythms and movements of the Middle East, showcasing everything from traditional Arabic folklore to modern belly dance solos.

The Organizer
Arabesque Academy, led by Martina von Schwerin, has been a central place for Oriental dance in Gothenburg for over 20 years. Martina has organized numerous festivals and performances on large stages and has performed internationally in countries such as Europe, Egypt, Jordan, India, China, and Japan.

The Festival
Lucia Oriental was founded in 2003 by Martina von Schwerin and has since been a central point for Oriental dance in Sweden. The festival invites both dancers and teachers to conclude the year together, with the goal of reaching an audience beyond the dance community. By highlighting different expressions and styles within Oriental dance, a stage is created where artistic diversity can take place and move the audience.
