It is with great excitement that the entire orchestra enters the stage. The orchestra under the direction of Stephen Ellery impresses again and again, letting the 15 soloists and the choir’s amazing vocal performances dazzle the audience with star shine and rousing numbers.
Les Misérables by Boublil/Schönberg is the longest played and performed musical in the whole world. Few other musicals have this wonderful way of moving with delicate melodies. They include pieces such as “I Dreamed a Dream”, “One Day More”, “Do you Hear the People Sing” and “On My Own”.
A new song was composed especially for Hugh Jackman for the worldwide hit film of 2012. “Suddenly” was nominated for the Oscar for the best film song of the year and of course it is not left out of this extraordinary concert!
In the role of Jean Valjean we see Chris Green and among the soloists we see more Les Misérables West End artists such as Julie Lund, Alex Tomkins and Chloe Taylor.
Original scenes from the 2012 global hit film will be shown in conjunction with the music – in collaboration with Universal Pictures.
