Event has already taken place. Frontman in a number of jazz groups - and soloist in his own orchestral works. Here he is within the broad boundaries of jazz together with Grégory Privat piano, John Parricelli guitar, Magnus Öström drums and Arve Henriksen trumpet.
Not just one of Sweden’s foremost bass players. Also composer, arranger and producer. Frontman in a number of jazz groups – and soloist in his own orchestral works. Regardless, Lars Danielsson is always rooted within the broad boundaries of jazz.
In the quartet Liberetto, Lars Danielsson uses his entire wide palette. With light brushstrokes, he sketches new worlds in the borderland between jazz, classical and European folk music. Fellow musicians are Grégory Privat, piano, John Parricelli, guitar and Magnus Öström, drums, tonight reinforced by Norwegian Arve Henriksen on trumpet.
Over the years, Lars Danielsson has collaborated with a number of international stars such as David Liebman, Jack DeJohnette and John Scofield and top Nordic names such as Bobo Stenson, Jon Christensen and Nils Landgren. He has been a soloist with the Danish Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and, not least, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra.
Lars Danielsson can be heard in collaboration with the Gothenburg Symphony on the album Lars Danielsson Symphonized, which was released in March 2023 (BIS).
In the spring of 2024, we will also hear steaming fresh symphonic music by Lars Danielsson when his percussion concert Schlagwerk will be premiered at the Gothenburg Symphony.
