Japan, India and Sweden are interwoven in sounds, rhythms, improvisations and melodies. From Nordic and Japanese music to Scandinavian jazz and folk music. A whole new trio with three boundless virtuoses from different musical traditions: Karin Nakagawa koto and song, Suranjana Ghosh tabla and mouth percussion, and Anders Hagberg flutes and soprano saxophone.

The flutist Anders Hagberg has for decades had a close relationship with the most distinguished Indian musicians and regularly tours in India as soloist.

Suranjana Ghosh is one of very few female tabla players and a master musician who has collaborated with many artists in different genres in Sweden and India. Get to know her and the tabla more at the seminar at Folkmusikkaféet 20 april, where she will talk about her instrument and the collaboration with Anders Hagberg and Karin Nakagawa.

Karin Nakagawa is unique with her pioneering playing on the developed, 25 string koto.
