The duo’s latest album Jorland was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2019. With instruments such as the” nyckelharpa” (a keyed fiddle), the zither (cittra),  violin,  guitar and  song, the audience is drawn into a whirlwind of Polska dances , which have survived throughout the centuries, but the programme also offers a handful of newly composed songs, with full of the traditions from Skåne. All done with the magic and virtuosic interaction that characterizes Hazelius Hedin.

Since the duo’s formation in 2011, their dazzling brilliance and drive has been noticed in both on the Swedish and international folk music scenes. Their music has also gained appreciation far beyond folkmusic circles. On the Jorland album, several of Johan Hedin’s various keyed fiddles can be heard, which sometimes sound like an organ, sometimes  chirping small birds, and sometimes just murmuring behind Esbjörn Hazelius’s pleasant, soft Göinge-Skåne dialect.
