Gothenburg Piano Festival creates an inspiring, musical meeting place for young and established pianists. Through activities, concerts and master classes with fantastic teachers and artists, the festival promotes collaboration and interest in the piano instrument in an inspiring and joyful way. 

The founder and artistic director of the Piano Festival is Helena Ha-Young Sul.
The concerts will be live streamed on Gothenburg Piano Festival’s website.

10.00-11.00 The art of playing piano – Master Classes
11.15-12.15 Beethoven’s sound worlds – historical instruments are presented
14.00-15.00 Lecture on piano methodology with participating teachers and students
15.00-18.00 The art of playing piano – Master Classes

Programme Sunday 16 August

Stenhammarsalen – no audience in the hall, only for invited participants.
10.00-12.00 Young and Promising – Concert without audience
14.00-16.00 Beethoven in Gothenburg – 250 years. A selection of the piano sonatas is presented
16.30-17.45 Chamber Music Concert: Music by Beethoven
