Bamse is back, with a new movie adventure about Mini-Hopp, who is trying to learn to play violin – while mysterious things keep happening. Hear the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra perform the music live with the film!
Something mysterious is happening on the sea outside of Småköping. Even though the weather is lovely, huge waves are washing in over the harbour, pier and little town. What could be causing waves so powerful that boats are washed ashore and pirates are winding up in the trees?
Meanwhile, at the preschool Eken, Mini-Hopp is beginning to play violin. It isn’t going well – it just squeaks. No one thinks it sounds good. Everyone just laughs! Mini-Hopp has never felt as lonely as he does while sadly kicking at the gravel on his way down to the water, pausing at the end of a cliff to be alone with his violin.
But suddenly, when he sets bow to strings, the water below the cliff begins to bubble, and something enormous rises up from the sea.
The film Bamse and the Secret of the Sea is a story of an unusual friendship, and the joy of finding someone who understands you. Hear the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra perform the original music by Henrik Lörstad.
