Event has already taken place. The modern chamber season starts with well established contemporary music – some of it the dreamiest thing you can hear…
Helen Grime is one of the best established, young, British composers of today. Her pieces have been performed at BBC Proms, and opened the London Symphony Orchestra’s 2017/2018 concert season. She is a worthy opener of Gageego!’s concert series in every sense.
This particular concert offers several well-known names such as John Cage and Morton Feldman. It’s music that gives you space to think, sense, dream, experience. In that sense, the concert is not just a meeting with new music and fantastic musicians; the attentive listener will meet both themselves and Narcissus, the god who fell in love with his own reflection and was turned into a narcissus flower.
Norrbotten NEO have spent around 10 years at the front edge of chamber music, with a national task to work for contemporary chamber music. This evening, they’ll meet their colleagues from the west.
Don’t miss the composer conversation one hour before the start of the concert, where musicians from the ensemble talk to one of the evening’s composers. All questions are welcome. From the audience as well.
Here you will find all the necessary information that you need to know about before your magical visit in the Concert Hall.
Invite yourself or someone you like to an experience for all the senses. Welcome to visit the Concert Hall's restaurant or one of our foyer bars.
