Distinctly own and extroverted music. For more than ten years, Daniel Karlsson Trio has carved out a unique expression rooted in 60s jazz, soul and pop. Together, the three musicians offer a constant journey of discovery between fixed points and free surfaces.

He is one of five in Oddjob. In his Daniel Karlsson Trio, he guides his musicians on ever-new journeys between fixed points and free surfaces. Together, they offer distinctly own and extroverted music rooted in 60s jazz, soul and pop.

Individually, the three are among Sweden’s most in-demand musicians. Pianist Daniel Karlsson is a given choice for names like Nils Landgren, Viktoria Tolstoy and Rigmor Gustafsson. Bassist Christian Spering has been heard regularly with Joakim Milder, Jonas Knutsson and Beche Berger, while drummer Fredrik Rundqvist has made common cause with Palle Danielsson and Bobo Stenson.

One of Sweden’s most high-profile trios with a never-ending wealth of songs to pour from.
