Erik Risberg, former pianist of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, converses with us about classical music in a series of informal lectures. It’s just him and a grand piano on stage, as he offers us intimate insight into the world of classical music and composers.

Piano four hands is our topic for the evening.

Piano four hands, which used to be known by its French name ‘à quatre mains’, refers to a way of playing that requires two musicians (four hands!) to play one and the same keyboard instrument, often a piano.
