A trio of young but sharp diamonds are harpist Claire Moncharmont, mezzo-soprano Christina Herrestahl and violinist Isabella Bania. In addition to the love of music, they also have a Nordic connection in common. They are all part of the Danish Hehku Ensemble, a music collective that focuses on both contemporary and older repertoire. They are all well established on the international scene and Isabelle Bania was awarded the Danish Léonie Sonning Talent Prize in 2022.

The music they offer is also jewelry, like the beautiful Le doux silence de nos Bois – The sweet silence of our woods – a work from the French Baroque by Honoré d’Ambruys. There will also be the European premiere of the work For it will never return by the composer Anna Thorvaldsdottír, a composer who has been praised by both the New York Times and The Guardian for her “boundless imagination”, and who has also been called “one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music” .

The concert is part of the Harp Festival which takes place in Gothenburg Concert Hall from 17-19 May – a unique opportunity to get to know this beautiful and mythical instrument. The ticket price for the chamber concerts is SEK 20-40/concert, so take the opportunity to feast!
