Event has already taken place. Chamber concert: Henrik Måwe piano
The composer returns to Paris after a difficult tour of the British Isles. Isolated in his chamber and suffering ill health, he does his utmost to maintain his desire to work and his joy of music. As his ability to compose diminishes, his desperation grows.
Through music from his past, he is now forced to confront what remains of his life – is it the end or the beginning of something new? This is a story about making friends with yourself when everything you identify with suddenly breaks in a merciless course of events. Henrik Måwe portrays and performs Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, and the show includes immortal favourites such as the Raindrop Prelude and the Revolutionary Étude.
DN wrote “thoroughbred pianist Henrik Måwe impresses greatly” about the pianist’s Chopin portrait.
Henrik Måwe will also play Chopin’s second piano concerto with the Symphony on May 16th to 17th.
