They move freely between jazz, soul and pop with a finesse that has made Nils Landgren and Johan Norberg two of Sweden’s most popular musicians. Together they are Chapter Two, the duo who make each song their own.

Individually they each have brilliant careers. As a member of the groups Funk Unit and 4Wheel Drive, trombonist and singer Nils Landgren regularly guests Europe’s concert halls and jazz clubs. Guitarist and producer Johan Norberg has a CV that includes such diverse names as Jonas Knutsson, Eva Dahlgren, Cornelis Vreeswijk, Monica Zetterlund, Sven-Bertil Taube and Svante Thuresson. Here we meet the duo in their boundless love of jazz, soul and pop. For Chapter Two, the music is everything, and each piece is imbued with their own unmistakable style.

Art piece in the foyer

Adjacent to the concert we are showing the art piece Pixilation (2019) by composer Johan Svensson, composed for two keyboards, light and samples and specially adapted for Gothenburg’s Concert Hall foyer. Tightly connected sound and light sources create interlaced animation sequences that evolve over time inside light-protected tents. Let yourself be enveloped in darkness and experience how bass frequencies fill the room.
