Lovely and melancholic, this music by both well-known and lesser known twentieth century composers serves up a heady cocktail that will quench your thirst for beautiful melodies and bold turn-arounds.

Helvi Leiviskä is the embodiment of anyone who’s ever found themselves sighing and staring out of a rainy window. Weill and Tailleferre’s work combines earnestness with playfulness, while Ireland conjures up towering cliffs and stormy seas. Featuring musicians of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Soloist in Kurt Weill’s violin concerto: Marja Inkinen Engström.

The concert has been moved to the Great Hall

In order for you to have the best sound experience at Weill’s Violin Concerto, we have chosen to move this concert from Stenhammarsalen to Stora salen. The seats will be unnumbered. If it says Stenhammarsalen on your ticket or your subscription card, you will of course have admission to the concert even when it is now given in the Great Hall.
