Enter a golden world of baroque gems. No one can resist being captivated by Antonio Vivaldi’s lushly decorated music when BAGS takes the stage. Simply put: Italian beauty at its best.

Cellist Stefano Vegetti returns to the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra baroque ensemble and presents a full evening of music by Antonio Vivaldi. With his feel for rhythmic pulse and dynamics, Vivaldi has the same engrossing energy one might find in pop and rock. He was incredibly productive, rather analogous to an Italian Max Martin of his time. Over and over, new generations find Vivaldi’s music and fall in love.

This programme includes four concertos for strings, starting with Vivaldi’s Sinfonia in C major, which is filled with exquisite ensemble playing and imagination. It was just such a sinfonia that lay the foundation for the famous Four Seasons suite.

Italian cellist Stefano Veggetti was artistic director for BAGS for several years, and now rejoins the ensemble to present pure musical delight.

Also in Vänersborg

The concert is also played at Folkets Hus Vänersborg 19 Oct 15.00.
