This is a chance to hear her in authentic French Baroque repertoires with Le Concert d’Astrée, who provide an exceptionally crisp and airy sound on their period instruments. With both sorrowful and sweet music by Rameau, Charpentier and Marais, the cream of the French Baroque.

”Ms Dynamite of French Baroque”

After studying the piano and cembalo, the conductor Emmanuelle Haïm chose the conductor’s track and formed the Le Concert d’Astrée in 2000. Her energetic conducting and intense interpretations have given her the nickname “Ms Dynamite of French Baroque” in the English-language press. At the same time, her involvement in international orchestras increases. She has conducted Berlin’s Philharmonic, Vienna Philharmonic and the Academy of Music Berlin.

As ensemble-in-residence at the Opéra de Lille, Le Concert d’Astrée receives support from the City of Lille.
Le Concert d’Astrée ensemble also receives support from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication/ Hauts-de-France Regional Department of Cultural Affairs in the form of a subsidy for an approved company performing at national and international venues.
