Beethoven: Piano Concerto No. 2

How did Beethoven break through in Vienna? He was mostly known as a piano virtuoso, but became the composer on everybody’s lips over night after he played his piano concerto in B-flat major on the 29th of March, 1795. An incredible career had begun. Marie Kodama is the soloist for this Viennese classic, with Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Santtu-Matias Rouvali. Recorded for GSOplay in February 2020.
