Gothenburg Symphony Vocal Ensemble Explores the choral artistic possibilities

Gothenburg Symphony Vocal Ensemble (GSVE) was formed in 2016 and consists of twelve professional singers. The ensemble acts in two capacities, as part of the Gothenburg Symphony Choir in large symphonic works performed together with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, and as a group in its own right under the direction of Katie Thomas.

As a highly versatile team of singers, GSVE presents concert programmes that explore wide-ranging repertoire from medieval to present-day commissions, performing both a cappella and alongside musicians from the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra. Previous collaborations have also included Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and Gothenburg Symphony Baroque Academy. GSVE is committed to engaging with audiences both ‘at home’ in Gothenburg’s Concert Hall as well as giving performances in the wider region of Västra Götaland.
