Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra is the National Orchestra of Sweden. We perform around 100 concerts a year in Gothenburg Concert Hall, with international star conductors and world-renowned soloists. Welcome!
The Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra is the National Orchestra of Sweden and consists of 109 musicians who are driven by their love of music and a desire to provide you with a truly wonderful experience that will live long in the memory.
Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra has a long history of collaborations with leading conductors from around the world. Santtu-Matias Rouvali is our Chief Conductor since season 2017-2018.
The international star violinist Ava Bahari from Gothenburg is our Artist in Residence 2024-2025. Take the opportunity to get to know her during the season.
Some choirs and ensembles are extra close to us. The Gothenburg Symphony Choir has performed with us since 1917. The inner core consists of the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra's Vocal Ensemble. In our family you will also find the Baroque Academy Gothenburg Symphony.
